Babygirl: Halina Reijn’s Erotic Thriller, Starring Dickinson and Nicole Kidman, Frontrunner for Best Actress Oscar

Kidman and Dickinson Engage in Risky Affair in ‘Babygirl’ Trailer

A24 releases Halina Reijn’s erotic thriller later this year after it premiered at Venice Film Fest.

Oscar winner Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson explore power dynamics with a high-stakes affair in the trailer for the erotic thriller Babygirl.

A24 releases writer-director Halinma Reijn’s feature in theaters nationwide on December 25, at the height of the Oscar Awards season.

Also starring are Banderas and Sophie Wilde.

Babygirl centers on Romy (Kidman), a feared CEO who begins a romance with Samuel (Dickinson), a much-younger intern at her company.

“If we’re going to do this, we need to set some rules that you and I both agree on,” Dickinson instructs Kidman in the trailer. “Starting with, I tell you what to do, and you do it.”

Reijn wrote and helmed the movie that marks her directorial follow-up to the 2022 horror comedy Bodies Bodies Bodies. Babygirl counts Reijn, David Hinojosa and Julia Oh as producers.

The film is sexy, dark and unpredictable, featuring Kidman in spectacular form, swinging from outrage to fear to lust.

Babygirl premiered at the Venice Film Fest to great acclaim–Kidman won the Best Actress kudo.

Kidman’s recent credits include the features Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and A Family Affair, along with the series The Perfect Couple and Expats.

Dickinson is known for roles in the films Triangle of SadnessWhere the Crawdads Sing and The Iron Claw, and the series A Murder at the End of the World.
