Venice artistic director Alberto Barbera unveiled six Netflix originals on the festival’s slate at a news conference in Rome.

Barbera claims: “We cannot refuse to come to terms with the reality of the new production landscape.”

Joel and Ethan Coen’s new Western, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs
Paul Greengrass’ 22 July (formerly titled Norway), about the 2011 terrorist attack in and around Oslo that killed 77 people;
Alfonso Cuaron’s Roma, the Oscar-winning director’s return to Spanish-language filmmaking;
The restoration and completion of Orson Welles’ unfinished The Other Side of the Wind.
