Directed by Henry King, and scrited by Karl Tunbergm A Yank in the R.A.F. is a patriotic musical, made and released before the U.S. entered into the War.

Tyrone Power plays an American expatriate who falls for an American showgirl Betty Grable.  To impress her, he joins the R.A.F. and eventually wins her affection with his heroics.
