Filmmaker Edoardo De Angelis will debut his new film The Vice of Hope in the official selection of the 2018 Rome Film Fest.
De Angelis is riding high in international film circles after the success of his latest film, Indivisibili, which won six David di Donatello awards.
The Vice of Hope stars Pina Turco and Cristina Donadio in a modern tale of revenge and reconciliation on the backdrop of the Volturno river.
Pierpaolo Verga and Attilio De Razza produced the film, with Medusa signed on to distribute.
“I am happy and honored to host a film that confirms the great talent of Edoardo De Angelis at the film festival,” said Rome chief Antonio Monda of the announcement. “What makes his film so moving and powerful is the way he manages to tell hope within a world of desolation.”
The 13th Rome Film Fest takes place October 18-28.
